Nsw Procurement Tendering Guidelines
Building and Construction Industry, The Model Tender and Contract documentation for use when preparing expressions of interest, tenders and contracts, and funding agreements for building and construction projects funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government has been revised.
The Hon Bill Shorten MP, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, released the revised version of the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry (the Guidelines) on 2 March 2012.
The Guidelines have been revised to reflect the Government’s Fair Work Principles which support the creation of quality jobs and decent work by ensuring that government procurement is consistent with the Fair Work Act 2009.
The new Guidelines will take effect from 1 May 2012.
The Building Industry Branch within the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is available to offer agencies and contractors advice on their obligations under the Code and Guidelines, and to ensure that agencies adequately reference the Code and Guidelines when approaching the market.
In order to assist you with your responsibilities the Department publishes model tender and contract documentation that satisfy the requirements of the Code and Guidelines. These documents can be accessed from the Publications page.
